The beginnings of a garden

I have been wanting to start a garden for about forever but there was always something that came up.  But Annabella's enthusiasm for gardening could not go unnoticed and forced me to take action!  :)  I sure hope, for her sake, that everything we plant doesn't die!  She could be ruined forever! haha

 First we mixed the Vermiculite, Peat moss, and compost and it took well...forever! haha  We had to turn it over and over again on that giant tarp because we weren't supposed to use a shovel...talk about a work out!

 We have to leave for the beach in two days so we opted to plant everything when we get back.  Although we were already a little late to be planting lettuce so we decided to go ahead and get it in the ground.  (Plus..if Annabella had to go through all that hard work and not even get to plant something she might have just given up all together! haha)

Definitely not much to show for now...but it's something!  :)  I can't wait to come home and see how they've grown and to plant all the rest of the yummy things we have planned!!
