Happy 3rd birthday Ezekiel

My amazing mother who lives NEXT DOOR (yes I realize that I am the luckiest daughter in the world) is watching my little bits today and I am actually having a moment where I don't feel ridiculously sick...SO I am gonna try to take advantage of that and post some things that have been going on in the last couple months!  The big one being Ezekiel's 3rd birthday!

If you look at Ezekiel's 2nd birthday pictures you might find them to be very similar to this years...meaning...they look the exact same. As anyone who knows Ezekiel (or even walks past in the grocery store) knows that he is obsessed with cars...he proclaims it to the world every chance he gets and he will not go to the park, go to sleep, or even bathe without one of his cars in tow.  So we just decided to have another CARS birthday like last year and make it just for family this time.  Not that Ezekiel doesn't love people but he honestly doesn't even know anyone else exists except his brother and sister...although he is recently started to want to branch out so I'm sure these "family" birthdays might be coming to an end soon.  That to say, we knew a party with a bunch of kids would just be a waste of time and energy and what he really would want to do is just hang out with Annabella and Malachi and do fun stuff.   SO being the "fun" parents that we are we wanted to make a fun day out of it.

First we  started the day with a nice yummy homeade breakfast and then for lunch we took them to a playplace to eat and run around..then to Fun Depot to do some indoor kid bowling and imflatbale rides and then come home for cake, presents, and pizza!  Fun....right?  hahaha  We should have just stuck with cake.  :)  Not to say that he didn't have fun...more or less.  But as were leaving our last destination with three overly tried, screaming, kicking, yelling, children....we started to think that maybe we over did it... :)  Honestly the first indicator that maybe the day wasn't going to go as planned was when I put his special homeade birthday breakfast in front of him and he took one bite and yelled "YUCKKK!  I dont want this!" wow Ezekiel, just tell me what you really think.  :)

After all three took a full 40 minute nap on the way home they were still a bit delirious from our long day but with promised cake and ice cream as their reward they started to brighten up.

Ezekiel and his hats.  He is sporting a woman's "tea hat" recently purchased from the Good Will's "Senior" department. :)

I love how when it's any one of their birthdays the other two leap with excitement because they all have some sort of unspoken rule that they all get to open each others presents haha

Oh Ezekiel!  You have changed so much... even the last 6 months!  I can't believe you are already THREE! You are finally talking more now but still prefer to use monkey language when left to choice.  :)  You are the most intresting, unique, crazy, silly, most delightful little person I know!  You light up a room and can make a room full of grown adults die with laughter.  We marvel at God's amazing sense of humor and joy because only HE could create such a funny, silly, CRAZY little boy!  You are ridiculously strong willed and sometimes make it VERY hard for mommy and daddy to make it through the day without pulling our hair out...but you always seem to pull through and your charm wins out. :)  I love you with ALL of my heart and feel SOOO blessed that God has given you to me!!  Happy 3rd birthday!!
